Samsung launches Galaxy A20s in India: A pocket-friendly triple camera phone

Samsung Galaxy A20S

Samsung is expanding its lineup of budget A-series smartphones in India. After launching the Galaxy A10s in India just last month, the company has now launched the Galaxy A20s in the country. The new Samsung Galaxy A20s is a follow-up to the Galaxy A20 which was launched in the market earlier this year.

The Galaxy A20s comes with an updated Snapdragon chipset instead of the Exynos 7884 found on the Galaxy A20. It also gets a refreshed triple camera setup and a slightly larger display compared to its predecessor. Here’s the complete lowdown.

Samsung Galaxy A20s specs

The Galaxy A20s comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a resolution of 720 x 1,560 pixels. It has a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. The phone runs on the octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset, paired with 3GB and 4GB RAM options. Opt for the 3GB RAM option, and you’ll get 32GB of expandable storage. Meanwhile, those opting for the 4GB RAM variant will get 64GB of expandable storage.

There’s a triple rear camera setup on the Galaxy A20s as opposed to the dual-cam configuration on the Galaxy A20. The rear cameras include a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensing camera. An 8MP camera resides in the phone’s display notch.

There’s a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. A fingerprint scanner rests on the back of the device.

Moreover, the Galaxy A20s carries forward the same battery as the A20. A 4,000mAh battery juices up the device and charges using 15W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A20s price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A20s was launched in Malaysia last month at a price of 699 ringgits (~$166). In India, the phone costs Rs 11,999 (~$168) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB variant and Rs 13,999 (~$197) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB version. The phone comes in black, blue, green, and red colorways.

You can buy the Galaxy A20s in India from Samsung’s e-Store and other ecommerce platforms in the country. It will also be available offline through major retail stores including Samsung’s Opera House flagship store in Bengaluru, India.
