Rumor: Next Version of the Google Play Store Will Have Slide-Out Navigation in Android 4.4 Kit Kat

Android Police  has an  exclusive  on a new leak this evening. This one has to do with the Google Play Store. As usual with Android updates, usually almost all the Google apps get updated, some even get a complete overhaul. What we are looking at tonight is the Google Play Store with the slide-out navigation drawer. This is the same navigation drawer we’ve seen on so many apps, including the recently released Netflix app. This slide-out navigation drawer is also known as the “hamburger” -style slide-out, and is part of the holo theme. Back at Google I/O, Google gave us a fully redesigned version of the Play Store, which is what we all have on our phones right now. Judging by the screenshots in this post, it looks like the only real change is slide-out navigation. It looks like the slide-out drawer gets rid of the My Apps, My Wishlist and Redeem options from the action bar. The action bar is still there, but only has the Settings and Help options in version 4.4 of the Play Store. To b

Google Updates The Play Store Content Policy, No more Notification Ads

Every once in a while, Google updates the Play Store Development Content Policy which is where the rules are for putting apps in the Play Store. It defines what can and can’t be done by developers and it’s the guide Google has for shutting down apps and developers when they do something wrong. Usually when Google updates it, it’s because they’re looking for ways to fight spammers and forgers, we’re all tired of seeing fake apps pop up under popular names. As is with every major Google update, the folks at  Android Police  did a tear down and found a whole bunch of interesting stuff that Google changed or added to the Policy in order to make it better and tighter to keep the Play Store as clean as possible.
