Google Slides gets Keep integration, add-on support, and more with latest update

Image
Google has added a bunch of new features to Slides for G Suite customers.  The biggest one is support for add-ons that allows you to build better presentations. There are seven integrations available at the moment with services including Adobe Stock and Shutterstock — more are coming at a later date. With Shutterstock’s add-on, for example, you can find royalty-free images and quickly add them into your presentation without leaving Slides’ interface. Another great addition is the new drag-and-drop integration between Keep and Slides. What this means is that you can now just drag notes from Keep into your presentation, so there’s no need to type in the data manually anymore. Check out what this looks like in action below. Other new features worth mentioning include “Linked slides” that allow you to sync slides from multiple presentations with a single click, and “Skip slide”, which you can use to skip select slides without fully deleting them when you present from your phone or l

The value-focused Nokia 3, 5 , and 6 could see a major update soon. According to an executive from HMD Global, all three phones will get Android Oreo by the end of the year. HMD is the company that produces Nokia smartphones, and its General Manager for Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia, Mark Trundie, let it slip during an interview that the phones would see the update before the ball drops. We recently told you that HMD was testing the update and it would be released when it was “perfect”. Well, it might be nearing perfection. According to a report from  Vtechgraphy , an HMD Manager told those in attendance at a launch party for the Nokia 8 in Taiwan that the Oreo update would start at the end of October at the earliest. The Nokia 8 isn’t even out in some large markets yet, so word of a major software update right around the corner is welcomed news. Nokia devices run a s

There are a number of them to choose from, which you can sort by categories including abstract, typography, landscape, pattern, and minimal, just to name a few. Most are free, but there are also a few premium collections on offer with each containing between 20 and 30 wallpapers that you can unlock for a few bucks — Fondo Pro. If you’re like me, you probably have an app idea or two knocking around in your head, quietly going stale. You know users would love it, you know your idea is better than the other stuff you see out there, but there’s only one problem: You can’t code. Sure, there’s plenty of excuses you can make. It’s hard to know where to start, and you know other developers go to school for years to get their L33T c0d1ng skillz , and you don’t have the time or money for that. Online courses are an option, but those can be pretty pricey too. I mean, just look at this bundle . Every one of the learning kits clocks in at around $200. Luckily for you, this selection of courses is brand new and fully up to date with Android Oreo . Online courses live and die by their rating and number of enrolled students, so when new courses launch, they’ll often bundle them with related courses and sell them at a substantially reduced price . Their bid for new students is your opportunity to score. The Complete An
