Samsung in-display fingerprint sensor delayed until Galaxy S10? (Updated)

Update (05/31): A new report out of South Korea has claimed that Samsung has turned to Qualcomm for help with fitting an in-display fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10. According to ETNews , Samsung has “confirmed” to partners that it will install an in-display reader underneath its own Samsung Display glass. While it had previously been reported that Samsung would be using its own biometric technology, the latest round of speculation suggests that it will instead rope in silicon giant Qualcomm and its ultrasonic fingerprint sensor tech. Regardless of whether its Qualcomm or Samsung that provides the technology, it seems increasingly likely that an in-display sensor will arrive on Samsung’s next S series flagship. Xiaomi MIUI 10 update for Xiaomi phones has been revealed with new software features. MIUI 10 brings the ever-popular portrait mode to single camera Xiaomi phones. Wondering if your phone is on the list? The company has revealed a timeline for the preview version of the update. Xiaomi used its Mi 8 launch event to shed light on its new MIUI 10 Android skin as well. The latest version of the Android theme focuses on expanded full-screen support and a driving mode. The biggest feature addition is Portrait Mode for both dual- and single-camera smartphones. Portrait-style modes have been available on selfie cameras in the last year on several Huawei devices, the Pixel 2, and, on the other side of the fence, the iPhone X. Switch to the rear camera, however, and the feature is usually restricted to dual-camera smartphones. Files Go becomes second Google app to get China release this week

Google has released its Files Go app in China. This comes only days after the release of ARCore in the country. The app is available on the app stores of Tencent, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Baidu. Google has launched its file management app Files Go in China via third-party app stores. Following the release of ARCore on the Xiaomi App store  earlier this week, it is the second time Google has launched an app in China in this way.  TechCrunch  reported that the file management app is available on the Tencent, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Baidu app stores. This is a much wider release than that of ARCore which was initially only released on the Xiaomi app store, although Google did say that more partners are coming soon.
