In the latest Gmail update (v2019.08.18), a new swipeable account switching gesture is active (via Android Police ). All you need to do is swipe up or down on your user avatar in the top right corner of the Gmail app interface. This will switch accounts quickly. You can still tap on your user avatar to see a list of your accounts and then tap on the one you want to switch to, but the swiping gesture is obviously a lot faster. In addition to this new swipe gesture, the latest Gmail update also shows some hints of the expected dark mode. If you’re using Gmail on a beta version of Android 10 and have the system-wide dark mode enabled, the Gmail widget will have a dark theme.
