Top 10 Best Android Third-Party Launchers

Top 10 Best Android Launchers

One of the best features of Android is the ability to customize just about every aspect of your phone. One of the best ways to customize your phone is to throw a new launcher on there. Especially if you’re not a fan of the Touchwiz launcher or the Sense launcher. For those that don’t know what a launcher is, it’s basically the app that controls your homescreens and app drawer, and installing a third-party launcher will take over your home screen and app drawer. With that said, we’ve found 10 great launchers on the Play Store that we think you’re going to love. So let’s start our countdown to number one.

10. Turbo Launcher

Turbo Launcher is one of the highly customizable launchers we’ll be talking about today. Turbo launcher is an innovative and fast launcher not to mention it’s completely free. It works with most icon packs, it also has color themes, customizable dock, a customizable drawer, scroll effects, folder icons and so much more.

9. Smart Launcher

Another great launcher is Smart launcher. It’s an innovative launcher with a minimal design. It’s also a low resource app, which means it’ll use less RAM so you won’t notice your phone lagging due to the launcher. But, just because it’s a minimal launcher, doesn’t mean its missing features. It has a ton of great features like drawer organized by categories, live wallpaper support, supports every device including Google TV, widget support, supports icon packs and so much more.

Like a few of these other launchers, Next Launcher 3D has a paid and a free version. So you can check out the launcher without paying for it. Some of the free features include an extremely fast 3D effect, efficient and powerful batch apps management, stunning 3D screen preview, 3D next widgets and much more. The Premium version also has a ton more features.

Like Next Launcher 3D, it has a paid version as well. As far as features go it includes over 10,000 themes that are available on the Play Store, super smooth flipping and transition effects, 25+ fancy transition effects, 15+ widgets available for free, along with lots of gestures on the launcher.

Apex is a fan favorite, but why is it only sitting at #4? Well because the top 3 are better launchers in my opinion. Apex allows you to get a relative stock experience on your device. So it’s great for non-Nexus devices like the Galaxy S4, or HTC One. It also has a ton of features like customizable homescreens with up to 9 homescreens, scrollable docks, fancy transition effects, and much more.

3. Buzz Launcher

Buzz Launcher is a really interesting launcher in my Opinion. It allows you to use other people’s setup on your own screen. Ever seen a great homescreen that you wanted on your phone? That’s what Buzz Launcher is all about. I’ve tried it in the past, but I prefer other launchers over Buzz.

2. Nova Launcher

Nova has been my personal favorite for about a year now, but I’ve recently switched to the launcher that we have as number one on our list. Nova brings you a relatively stock Android launcher, but with some other tweaks and features. You can add more icons to your dock, use gestures and so much more.

1. Action Launcher

This is my personal favorite, Action Launcher is just an awesome launcher. It has added the “hamburger” button so you can swipe from the side to slide out all your apps. In addition it has “covers” which allow you to swipe up on the icons on your home screen to open up the widget for that particular app. But that’s not all. Action Launcher is ultra smooth and fast as well. But it does cost about $3.99 and it’s well worth it in my opinion.
