Nexus 10 Everything You Want to Know

We’ve heard many rumors saying that it’s ASUS making the Nexus 10 this year. Although we have heard a few stating it’ll be Samsung again, but more rumors are suggesting it’s ASUS’ turn. ASUS already makes the Nexus 7, so making a Nexus 10 won’t be a big deal for them. We’ve seen plenty of leaks showing an ASUS Nexus 10 already, one of which you can see above. But which manufacturer would you want to make the Nexus 10? Samsung, ASUS or some one else?

Specs

As far as specs go, I’m expecting basically the same as last years Nexus 10. 10-inch 2560×1600 resolution display, possibly IPS since it’s likely to be ASUS making it. I’d expect either a Snapdragon 800 or Tegra 4 processor powering it all. ASUS really loves NVIDIA’s Tegra processors. They’ve had them all in their Transformer lineup. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in the Nexus 10 if they do make it. RAM is likely to be 2GB, although it could 3GB, but I won’t count on it. Were probably looking at the same 9000mAh battery as last years model, along with 16GB and 32GB variations. Hopefully we’ll see a 64GB model this year.

Pricing

While some people think the Nexus 10 was to costly last year, I think it was a great price for those specs. Most 10-inch tablets start at $499 for a 8GB version, while Google was offering top of the line specs in a 10-inch tablet with 16GB of storage for $399. So I’m expecting about the same price points. Especially with the Nexus 7 being between $229-349 depending on the model you purchase.

Availability

We’re still expecting Google to announce Android 4.4 along with the Nexus 5 and Nexus 10 (2013) in October with both devices being available in November through the Play Store. I’m also expecting the Nexus 10 (2013) to be available in many retail stores on release day, similar to how the Nexus 7 (2013) was done. Which is a good idea, because we all know the horror stories from ordering through the Google Play Store last year.
