Never Lose Track Of Your Luggage Again With Trakdot, Now Shipping

When you’re traveling you can’t help but worry about your luggage and whether or not it will arrive at the same destination as you at the same time. With the Trakdot Luggage tracking device, you can keep tabs on your luggage while it’s out of sight.

The Trakdot device made its first appearance at this year’s CES show and has officially begun shipping today all over the world. You can put the Trakdot device in any of your checked luggage. It will alert you by reporting the city and airport location in real time to your cell phone through text or e-mail.

The Trakdot will be especially useful in situations of late check-ins where it will help travelers and airlines resolve issues of misdirected luggage.

“We’re confident that this will forever change the way we travel and we’re looking forward to hearing feedback from the first users of Trakdot technology,” Harry Steck, CEO of Trakdot, said.

Once you’ve landed and can safely turn your phone back on, the luggage locator system will automatically transmit information on where you checked luggage is. Even if your luggage doesn’t end up at the right place, you’ll at least have the peach of mind of knowing where it ended up.

To get luggage information, you’ll have to register on Trakdot’s website or you can use the iOS or Android app. Using Trakdot’s mobile app lets you register new devices and access the location history of your luggage.

When purchasing this device, your package will include the Trakdot Luggage device, luggage tag and batteries. It will work with any cell phone or SMS enabled device for a low annual fee. You can link the device to multiple phones, or link multiple devices to multiple phones.

You can buy the Trakdot device for $49.99 MSRP, with an $8.99 activation fee and annual service fee of $12.99. Head over to the Trakdot website to order yours now.
