Next Gen. 15″ MacBook Pro Benchmarks Show Up On Geekbench

Benchmarks for the next-generation 15-inch MacBook Pro have popped up Geekbench. This MacBook has been given the code name of “AAPLJ45,1″ and has received an overall Geekbench score of 12497. According to the benchmark, the laptop features a quad-core Intel Core i7-495HQ clocked at 2.4GHz and 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM. The computer is also sporting a custom build of OS X Mavericks with the build name “13A2052″.


As of now, we’re not sure what the graphics situation is with the new 15-inch MacBook Pro. Current generations of the MacBook Pro include high-end AMD 650M graphics chips that are a massive step up from Intel’s built-in HD Graphics 4000. However, with the latest generation of Intel CPUs, we’ve seen the company double the power of its integrated graphics with Iris 5200 that is included with the Core i7-495HQ.


We’re also not sure if this Geekbench is for the next generation MacBook Pro with Retina Display or the standard, non-Retina MacBook Pro. However, in the past, we’ve heard rumors of Apple leaving the standard MacBook Pro on Ivy Bridge chips and only updating the Retina Display model to Haswell. If true, this will make the standard MacBook Pro easier to discontinue in the coming months.

Every single Galaxy S23 unit will ship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Over the last couple of months, we’ve been going back and forth when it comes to the Galaxy S23 series SoCs. Well, it’s now basically official, every single Galaxy S23 series handset will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel every single Galaxy S23 model Yesterday, a report surfaced stating that the Exynos 2300 may not launch at all. That was supposed to be Samsung’s next-gen flagship SoC. A well-known tipster, Ice Universe, shared the news. That same tipster  shared a tweet earlier today, with an indirect confirmation that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be the only chip in the Galaxy S23 phones.
