Apple to live stream today’s iPad announcement event

Apple is holding its big iPad announcement event today. Unlike its September event which was held on its Cupertino campus, this October event is being held at the larger Yerba Buena Center and will be streamed live as it happens. As noticed by Engadget and Macrumors, an announcement about the October Special Event landed on Apple TV units earlier today. It’s not clear whether this stream will be pushed to Apple’s event website or if it will be an Apple TV exclusive, but I would expect to see it appear on both mediums. In the past, an Apple TV stream was accompanied by a companion stream on the website, and  today should  be no different.

Keep your browser window open and tuned into Apple’s event web page to see if the stream appears later today. The event begins at 10:00AM PT (1:00PM ET). We will have coverage of the announcements in case you are unable to watch the stream.
Update: The link for the live stream has gone live on Apple’s event web page. It’s also featured on Apple home page, apple.com.
