It hasn’t exactly been the best kept secret, but  the leaks  are now a thing of the past: the HTC One Max is official. The One Max continues the design language developed for the 4.7-inch flagship One, bringing to the table a few extra features and a refreshed version of Sense. The 5.9-incher borrows from the One Mini the strip of white plastic going around its sides, and, breaking away with tradition, has the power button on the right side, right above the volume rocker. Another change in design is the removable back cover, which reveals the microSD card and microSIM slots. The battery, however, is built into the device. The marquee feature of the HTC One Max is the fingerprint scanner located on the phone’s rear, which lets users lock and unlock the device, as well as launch up to three apps, by assigning each app to a finger. Render Leaks for the HTC One Max – If you Thought the Galaxy Note 2 Was Huge, Think Again

We’ve been learning more and more about the HTC One Max, which is due to be announced pretty soon and will be part of the One family along with the HTC One and One Mini, which are 4.7 and 4.3 inch devices respectively. Well earlier today, our favorite leaker and tipster Evleaks has published the render of the new HTC One Max on his brand new Google+ account . Make sure you guys follow him. As far as the render goes, it’s not much that we didn’t expect. It appears to have the same One design, with the 5.9-inch display up front and the boomsound speakers and the home and back buttons on either side of the HTC logo. As far as the specs go, we’re expecting a 5.9-inch 1080p display, powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 3300mAh battery, along with an UltraPixel camera (hopefully better than 4MP) along with HTC’s Boomsound speakers, which are pretty awesome by the way. So far there’s no official word on when HTC is slated to announce the One Max, but we’re expecting soon
